Hiroshima, Japan
Koyaura district is located in the southern part of Sakacho, adjacent to Kure city. When going to the downtown areas of Hiroshima city and Kure city, you can use National Route 31 or JR Kure Line, which runs parallel to the coastline with a view of the floating islands of the Seto Inland Sea.
This is a 54-year-old property located a 2-minute walk from Koyaura Station.
This property was purchased as a second home by the owner, who lived in the Koyaura area, and was used as a place to spend time on his hobbies.
When I first visited this property, there were pine trees and other plants in the garden, a pond, potted plants lined up in the backyard, and a chair by the window on the second floor where you can see the sea. I'm sure the
previous owner must have been working here, feeling the wind through the movement of the trees and the change of seasons through the contrast between the sea and the sky. As is common in the Sakamachi Vacant House Bank, cars cannot enter the premises of this property either.
However, whether it is better to be able to enter the premises by car is up to each individual.
Mei-chan and Satsuki-chan and their friends were living happily even without being able to park their car next to their house. Naturally, you will walk to your house more often, so you will have more opportunities to meet your neighbors.
As you know, people who live on the slopes greet each other when they pass by, even if they don't know each other.
If you have more opportunities to call out to each other, you can build good relationships and build relationships to help each other out in case of trouble.
I believe that the advantage of living near an urban area, on a hillside, is that it's easy to develop good relationships with your neighbors.
In July 2018, Western Japan was hit by torrential rains that caused an unprecedented disaster.
This torrential rain disaster also left a deep mark on the hearts and lives of the residents of Koyaura, Sakamachi.
Currently, the government, local community, residents, and related organizations are working to create an environment where people can live more safely and securely than before the disaster, and little by little, the people living in the area are regaining their energy.
Perhaps the new life and things you start in Koyaura from now on will lead to even more energy in the Koyaura area.
Now, everyone is moving forward as one.
